2022 Solar Car Challenge - Race Day 4
On July 20th, during Race Day 4 of the Solar Car Challenge, the CCA Solar Car Advanced Classic Division team placed 1st in our division. We were able to complete 114 laps at Texas Motor Speedway, which is equivalent to 171 miles driven over the six hours race period, averaging 28.5 miles per hour. 2022 Solar Car Challenge - Race Day 3
On July 19th, during Race Day 3 of the Solar Car Challenge, the CCA Solar Car Advanced Classic Division team placed 2nd in our division. We were able to complete 105 laps at Texas Motor Speedway, which is equivalent to 157.5 miles driven over the six hours race period, averaging 26.25 miles per hour. 2022 Solar Car Challenge - Race Day 2
On July 18th, during Race Day 2 of the Solar Car Challenge, the CCA Solar Car Advanced Classic Division team placed 1st in our division. We were able to complete 124 laps at Texas Motor Speedway, which is equivalent to 186 miles driven over the six hours race period, averaging 31.0 miles per hour. 2022 Solar Car Challenge - Scrutineering Phase
We lined up outside Texas Motor Speedway before dawn on Thursday, July 14th to begin the check-in and 3 day scrutineering process for the two cars that the CCA Solar Car team has entered into this year's Solar Car Challenge. Scrutineering is a solar car term of art, that is sort of a qualifying process to confirm that our solar cars are safe and comply with all the rules.
