Why Sponsorship?

The CCA Solar Car Racing Team is a self funding non-profit organization that depends upon donations to make this extraordinary project possible. Fund raising efforts by participating students is a key component of the learning experience, but fundraising by the students alone does not cover the costs associated with the design, engineering, construction, testing and ultimate competition of a sophisticated solar electric vehicle.

By sponsoring the CCA Solar Car your organization will receive great exposure in the form of logo displays on the car (for bronze tier or higher) which is highly visible throughout the build, testing, and racing phases of the project.

The CCA Solar Car team would like to thank all of our sponsors. Without your gracious contributions this fantastic opportunity for these highly motivated young academic leaders would not be possible”

How does it help?

Through the CCA Solar Car Racing Team students have a challenging opportunity to not only learn more about engineering, but to operate and participate in a real engineering project from beginning to end.

Your generous contribution supports the education and development of these future engineers. And your company will receive cost-effective, high visibility exposure during the build, testing, and racing phases of the project. Your support for the advanced education of students like those who are committed to a project like the CCA Solar Car will be noted by large numbers of people in the DFW area and beyond. Again, the students appreciate all of the contributions of those companies, organizations, and individuals who have helped make this project a successful reality.

Existing Car

We have updated our existing Advanced Division Car (Cougar Pride) to address some first year issues that we had with the solar modules / charge controllers last year.

New Car

We are building a completely new car (Cougar Spirit) for the competitive Advanced Classic division, that will leverage an aluminum monocoque, for weight savings over our original car that we first built for this division four years ago.

These budget requirements are needed to modify and improve our existing car (Cougar Pride) that competes in the Advanced Division and build a completely new car (Cougar Spirit) that will compete in the  Advanced Classic Division.
