2022 Solar Car Challenge - Awards Banquet

On July 17th, at 7:30 p.m. the Solar Car Challenge held the annual awards banquet. CCA was honored to win first in the nation again for a second year in a row in the Advanced Classic Division. Additionally, our team was awarded the Jarrett Dunn Award, which is presented to the Solar Car Team displaying the greatest application of Information Systems, as well as, we were awarded 2nd place in the Siemens Mechanical Drawing Competition. Finally, the Solar Car Challenge Organization awarded Shannon Caraway, The Order of the Solar Cell, which is "presented to those extremely special people who believe in high school solar car racing, and the great students who make it happen". This is the first time that CCA has won the Jarret Dunn award, the second time that we have been recognized in the Siemens Mechanical Drawing Competition, and the third time that a CCA team member has been recognized with The Order of the Solar Cell (previously awarded to Morgan Caraway in 2019 and Jake Caraway in 2021).
