Road testing - day 3 between Weatherford and Mineral Wells

This day of testing involved changing out our gearing to a lower ratio try and lower energy consumption per mile. However, the road test came to an end almost before it started, because we misaligned the change and it came off and broke within the first 100 yards after unloading from the trailer. This too was an important lesson in chain alignment that we would rather learn now, than out on the official Solar Car Challenge race.

We did however, meet a neighbor at Patriot's Outpost (located just a few miles west of Weatherford on Why 180) who informed us that we were not the first team who had been testing their solar car in this area. He shared these pictures with us of Liberty Christian Academy in Argyle, TX who had already been there nearly 3 weeks earlier!
