Preparing the 48 Volt System For Telemetry

Today, we accomplished three primary tasks:

1) carefully read the installation instructions for the Outback Power FLEXnet DC Monitoring system. Through this we learned that we had initially in-correctly connected the DC shunts into the positive battery side of the circuit that they are monitoring instead of the required negative side of the circuit.

2) electrically repositioned DC shunts for the FLEXnet DC system to be situated on the negative battery side of the circuit that they are monitoring, as per the instuctions, and

3) connected the monitoring wires from the FLEXnet DC system to the DC shunts.

Unfortunately, we were not able to get the FLEXnet DC system to power up as intended and now plan to call Outback Power tech support during the week to get them to help us trouble shoot what the problem is.
